Gokyo Lake Trekking

Gokyo Lake Trekking is a trip which starts at the mountain airstrip in Lukla. It is a one hour departure from Kathmandu. Our objective is the high elevation pools of Gokyo at north of 4200 meters. Less visited than the E.B.C. course the journey gives some gigantic high height traveling and a visit to the second biggest glacial mass on the planet. From the highest point of Gokyo Rithre is some fantastic mountain sees including Everest. We get to Lukla and get our flight once again to Kathmandu.

Gokyo Lake Trekking will take you to the area that is encircled by bumpy valleys, snow capped lakes, and various icy masses. It is less packed than others in the Everest locale and requires 12-14 days to finish including travel to and from Kathmandu. This moderate to troublesome journey arrives at a high of 5000 meters, a brilliant secret Himalayan valley

Method of journeying: Popular in Tea house however the trip can be worked in both tea house and setting up camp on demand.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu Kathmandu – 1300 m / 4265 ft

Day 2: Kathmandu to Lukla (Flight) to Phakding Phakding – 2651 m / 8697 ft – 3 hrs

Day 3: Phakding to Namche Bazaar Namche Bazaar – 3438 m / 11279 ft – 5 to 6 hrs

Day 4: Acclimatization day Namche Bazaar – 3438 m / 11279 ft – 5 to 6 hrs

Day 5: Namche Bazaar to Dole Dole – 3680 m / 12073 ft – 6 hrs

Day 6: Dole to Machhermo Machhermo – 3870 m / 12696 ft – 4 hrs

Day 7: Machhermo to Gokyo (Afternoon hike to Gokyo RI) Gokyo – 4800 m / 15748 ft – 4 hrs

Day 8: Gokyo to Machhermo (Morning hike to Gokyo 4th Lake) Gokyo Ri – 5357 m / 17575 ft – 4 hrs

Day 9: Gokyo to Dole Dole – 1380 m / 4527 ft – 7 hrs

Day 10: Dole to Namche Bazaar Namche Bazaar – 3438 m / 11279 ft – 7 hrs

Day 11: Namche Bazaar to Lukla Lukla – 2860 m / 9383 ft – 7 hrs
